My Supreme Being

This is actually my first sonnet, though my first poem "To sugar, forever..." has fourteen lines it lacks all the rules of a sonnet. It was more a parody than a sonnet!

My Parents are my "Supreme Being" and this poem is dedicated to my Mother who is everything to me. My every breath is because of Thee, my Mother.

My Supreme Being

Thou art the reason for my existence
To see this heaven in color and light;
Blest to be thine son very fair and bright,
Oh my Mother I shalt bring thee joyance.
I doth everything with thy assistance,
This helps me face any battle to fight;
To make Thee proud I will always do right
And will thrive hard to keep my persistence.
Nothing on this world is like love from Thee
Which’s selfless, unconditional and pure
Absolutely beyond infinity.
Thou art a Supreme Being sent to me
Holier than the Holiest for sure;
For Thou makes love to the eternity.

--AJAY

The above sonnet is a Petrarchan sonnet which was used by Italians. It has an octave (first eight lines) and a sestet (last six lines) with the rhyme scheme abbaabba cdecde respectively.
